I am honored to have my monotype ‘Marching’ included in the Monotype Guild of New England’s Fourth National Monotype/Monoprint Juried Exhibition, at the Attleboro Arts Museum in Attleboro, Massachusetts. The show was juried by Andrew Stevens, Curator of Prints, at the Chazen Museum of Art,University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI. It looks like it will be really good. The opening is this Thursday, April 7 from 7 – 10. I’m hoping to get there, let me know if you will be there too!

I am happy to have this etching included in the 2015 Small Works Show at 440 Gallery, through January 10th, 2016. It is a very fun and varied show, in terms of media, subject, and vision. The image is from a copperplate etching with aquatint that I originally made about 10 years ago. I recently revised the plate and then printed a small edition of the new version; the one in the Small Works show. The christmas cactus was a present from my family, who know how much I prefer living plants to cut flowers. A decade later it blooms happily in my Brooklyn window twice a year. In the drawing, the flowers seemed to be reaching out for something, so I gave them a small bee for company.
I had such a wonderful time at the Brooklyn Arts Council‘s event Access Art today! I am very happy that my piece ‘Bird Stories I’, was sold to benefit the Council, it is an integral part of the cultural community here in Brooklyn. Especially cool to that many artists, including my husband, sculptor Eric Jacobson, got a chance to meet with and talk to the folks who bought their art. If you missed the event this year, try to catch it next year!
First of all, thank you so much to everyone who came to the open studio. It was a hectic and fun couple of days, and it was great to see everyone! If you missed it, you can contact me to schedule a private studio visit. The next Park Slope Windsor Terrace Artists Open Studios will be held @ November of 2016.
Now onto the new news, I’ve had lovely archival gicleé prints made of this image:
There is an open edition of signed 16″x 20″ prints available, as well as a limited edition of signed numbered 30′ x 40″ prints. Contact me if you would like more information.
Once again I will be participating in the Park Slope Windsor Terrace Artists Open Studio event. This year my studio will be open from 12-6 pm on Saturday, and from 12-4 pm on Sunday. I have many new pieces to share… I hope to see you there!

Sculptor, Eric Jacobson, and I will be selling painted metal birds at the NY Creates crafts fair this Saturday, December 6th. The “bird collection” is our first collaboration.
We worked together on shape ideas and settled on 3 variations. Next Eric cut and manipulated aluminum into the “folded” birds, then sanded and primed them. I painted each bird with different patterns using a pallette of primary colors + a bright green. Each bird is unique. Eric finished the birds with varnish, cut tiny holes in the balancing points, and inserted copper wire for hanging the critters.
Eric will also be selling and taking orders for hand made steel pot racks.
The craft fair will be held at the Brooklyn Historical Society, 128 Pierrepont Street @ Clinton Street. (See the link below- they used our sample in the press release.) Please note: The fair is Saturday AND Sunday, but we will only be there on Saturday.
Come by my open studio any time between noon and 7 pm on November 8th and 9th. I’ll be exhibiting and selling original art, digital and hand pulled prints, children’s books, political posters and t-shirts and notecards. Come by to buy, or just to say hello!
